Sri Kambathukarar Special School is for the children with special needs and attention.It is able to provide an exceptional education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities facing academic, motor, medical, and social challenges. Each student is taught to connect with the world in spite of the obstacles they face. The school offers a caring, happy and stimulating environment in which children learn to work with each other, gaining confidence, respecting themselves, others and their community. Sri Kambathukarar Charitable Trust was started in an motive to help the needy people.We have started an instituion for special children which is an institute of global excellence and vibrant centers for learning which provide a congenial atmosphere for students to excel academically and develop into ethically strong and morally elevated individuals.

Number Rods

He child will typically work with the Number Rods after mastering the Red Rods. If you recall, the Red Rods help establish visual discrimination of length. The Number Rods are a natural progression, naming the quantity shown on each number rod with red and blue demarcations. The child’s intelligence accepts, understands and associates different names with the differences she can see between the Rods. The Number Rods are a great way for the child to gain a concrete understanding of the differences of quantity. This foundation will serve them in every math activity they attempt moving forward!

Spindle box

Spindle Boxes are part of Montessori Math Introduction to Numeration. Although gorgeous and reasonably priced, one of the best things about a Spindle Box is that you can make your own fairly easily at home with sticks, pipe cleaners, straws, etc. Plus, there are many variations of objects to keep the work interesting is always a bonus. Invite the child to do the work. Get a mat and spread it on the floor. The child isn’t dependent on a teacher or guide for confirmation that he or she has done the work correctly. It’s just another way that independence is fostered in the Montessori classroom.

Music activates every subsystem in the brain, including areas that regulate emotion and motivation. Setting aside specific time to sit together and make music in a circle allows children to bond with each other and gives them a sense of belonging to a group. Music time can be especially beneficial to children who are non-verbal. For them, music can be a way of expressing themselves and interacting with their peers. During circle time, provide children with instruments, like egg shakers, bells or toy drums. Encourage them to make noise with their instruments and move their bodies to the music. Sing songs that incorporate the name of each child so that everyone feels like they have an individual role in the activity.
